Child focused research: Disconnected and disembodied voices

Voice represents a commitment to child focused studies which provide insights into childhood. This builds upon the assumption that voice equates authenticity and children’s words can speak for themselves. These claims remain disputed more could be done critique how voices are extracted, translated used in research ways disconnect from embodied experiences within material social contexts. Critical analysis provides an opportunity consider next steps research, calling greater dialogue between disciplines reconsideration of disciplinary boundaries.
